Composition

Each ml contains:
Toltrazuril ........................................ 25 mg
Excipients ............................................. q.s. to 1 ml

Therapeutic Class

Anticoccidial agent (Triazine derivative).


Indications

TOLTRANOR® 2.5 Oral Solution is indicated for the treatment and control of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria species, including:

  • Coccidiosis in poultry

  • Coccidiosis in calves

  • Coccidiosis in lambs and kids

  • Intestinal protozoal infections

Effective against all intracellular stages of coccidia.

Mechanism of Action

Toltrazuril interferes with nuclear division and mitochondrial function of coccidia, disrupting parasite development at multiple life stages and leading to complete elimination.


Dosage & Administration

For oral administration only.

Poultry

  • 7 mg toltrazuril/kg body weight
    (Equivalent to 1 ml per 3.5 kg body weight)
    Administer as a single dose
    (or as directed by veterinarian)

Calves

  • 15 mg toltrazuril/kg body weight
    (Equivalent to 1 ml per 1.7 kg body weight)
    Single oral dose, preferably at 7–14 days of age

Lambs & Kids

  • 20 mg/kg body weight
    Single oral dose

📌 Shake well before use.
📌 Administer using a calibrated dosing syringe.


Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to toltrazuril

  • Do not use in severely debilitated animals

  • Avoid unnecessary repeated dosing


Side Effects

  • Generally well tolerated

  • Rare mild digestive disturbances


Withdrawal Period

(Indicative – subject to local regulations)

  • Meat:
    Poultry: 16 days
    Calves & small ruminants: 35–42 days

  • Eggs:
    Not approved for use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption


Special Warnings

  • Use as part of an integrated coccidiosis control program

  • Good hygiene and litter management improve effectiveness

  • Avoid under-dosing

  • Store below 25°C

  • Protect from direct sunlight

  • Do not freeze

  • Keep out of reach of children
