Indications

TIANOR 12.5 is indicated for the treatment and control of infections caused by tiamulin-sensitive organisms in:

Poultry

• Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD)

• Mycoplasma gallisepticum

• Mycoplasma synoviae

• Infectious synovitis

• Necrotic enteritis associated with Mycoplasma spp.

Swine

• Swine dysentery (Brachyspira hyodysenteriae)

• Enzootic pneumonia (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae)

• Porcine proliferative enteropathy (Lawsonia intracellularis)

Dosage & Administration

Administer orally via drinking water.

Poultry

• 15–25 mg tiamulin/kg body weight/day

• Equivalent to 0.12–0.2 ml per kg body weight

• For 3–5 consecutive days

Swine

• 8–12 mg tiamulin/kg body weight/day

• Equivalent to 0.06–0.1 ml per kg body weight

• For 3–5 days

Use medicated water as the only source of drinking water during treatment.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to tiamulin

• Do not use concurrently with ionophores (Monensin, Salinomycin, Narasin, Maduramicin)

• Do not use in horses

Warnings & Precautions

• Strictly avoid combination with ionophore anticoccidials

• Do not exceed recommended dosage

• Shake well before use

• Prepare fresh medicated water every 24 hours

• Observe withdrawal periods carefully

Withdrawal Period

• Meat (Poultry): 3–5 days

• Meat (Swine): 7 days

• Eggs: Not permitted for laying hens producing eggs for human consumption
  (subject to local regulations)

Storage

• Store below 25°C

• Protect from light

• Keep out of reach of children

Shelf Life

• 24 months from date of manufacture

• After opening: use within 28 days
