Composition
Each ml contains:
Sulfamethoxazole .................................. 200 mg
Trimethoprim ........................................ 40 mg
Excipients ........................................ q.s. to 1 ml

Potentiated sulfonamide antibacterial.
Indications
SULTRINOR is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by organisms susceptible to sulfonamides and trimethoprim, including:
Respiratory tract infections
Gastrointestinal infections (E. coli, Salmonella)
Urinary tract infections
Septicemia
Secondary bacterial infections
The synergistic combination provides broad-spectrum bactericidal activity.

Mechanism of Action
Sulfamethoxazole inhibits folic acid synthesis in bacteria.
Trimethoprim blocks dihydrofolate reductase.
The sequential blockade results in enhanced antibacterial efficacy and reduced resistance development.
Dosage & Administration
Cattle, Sheep, Goats & Camels:
1 ml per 16–20 kg body weight
Once daily for 3–5 days
Route of Administration:
Intramuscular (IM)
Subcutaneous (SC) (where appropriate)

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides or trimethoprim
Severe liver or kidney impairment
Avoid use in dehydrated animals
Side Effects
Mild pain or swelling at injection site
Rare allergic reactions
Ensure adequate hydration during treatment.
Withdrawal Period (indicative – subject to local regulations)
Meat:
Cattle: 10–14 days
Sheep & Goats: 10 days
Milk:
Not permitted for use in lactating animals
