Composition

Each gram contains:

• Sulfadiazine
  (as sodium) ........................................ 400 mg

• Trimethoprim .................................... 80 mg

Description

SulfaTrim Nor WSP is a potentiated sulfonamide antibiotic combination formulated for the treatment and control of a wide range of bacterial infections in poultry and livestock.
The synergistic combination of sulfadiazine and trimethoprim provides a bactericidal effect by sequential inhibition of folic acid synthesis in susceptible bacteria.

Mode of Action

• Sulfadiazine inhibits dihydropteroate synthase, blocking folic acid synthesis.

• Trimethoprim inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, enhancing sulfonamide activity.
  Together they produce a synergistic bactericidal action against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

• Colibacillosis (E. coli)

• Salmonellosis

• Pasteurellosis

• Respiratory tract infections

• Enteritis and bacterial diarrhea

• Septicemia

• Mixed bacterial infections

• Secondary infections during stress or viral diseases

Dosage & Administration
