Composition

Each ml contains:
Procaine Penicillin G ............................. 200,000 IU
Neomycin sulfate .................................... 100 mg
Excipients .................................................. q.s. to 1 ml

Indications

PENOR-N® Injection is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, including:

• Respiratory tract infections

• Mastitis

• Metritis

• Enteritis

• Septicemia

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Foot rot

• Wound and post-operative infections

Target Species

• Cattle

• Sheep

• Goats

• Camels

• Horses (according to veterinary judgment)

Mechanism of Action

• Procaine Penicillin G inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, providing bactericidal activity mainly against Gram-positive bacteria.

• Neomycin interferes with bacterial protein synthesis, offering strong activity against Gram-negative organisms.

The combination provides broad-spectrum synergistic antibacterial coverage.

Dosage & Administration

For intramuscular (IM) injection only.

• General dosage:
  1 ml per 20–25 kg body weight
  Once daily for 3–5 consecutive days

📌 Shake well before use.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to penicillins or aminoglycosides

• Renal impairment

• Do not administer intravenously

• Do not use in animals with known allergy to β-lactams

Side Effects

• Local injection site reactions

• Rare allergic reactions

• Nephrotoxicity with prolonged or excessive use

Withdrawal Period

(Indicative – subject to local regulations)

• Meat:
  Cattle, sheep & goats: 7–14 days

• Milk:
  3–5 days

Special Warnings

• Avoid prolonged use

• Use antimicrobial agents responsibly

• Do not combine with other nephrotoxic drugs

Storage Conditions

• Store below 25°C

• Protect from light

• Do not freeze

• Keep out of reach of children

Shelf Life

• 24 months from date of manufacture

• Use within 28 days after first opening
