Indications

LEVOXYNOR® Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment and control of internal parasitic infections, including:

• Gastrointestinal roundworms

• Lungworms

• Adult liver flukes (Fasciola spp.)

• Mixed nematode and trematode infestations

Target Species

• Cattle

• Sheep

• Goats

• Camels

Mechanism of Action

• Levamisole causes paralysis of nematodes by acting on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.

• Oxyclozanide uncouples oxidative phosphorylation in flukes, leading to parasite death.

The combination provides broad and complementary antiparasitic activity.

Dosage & Administration

For oral administration only.

Cattle

• 1 ml per 10 kg body weight
  (Equivalent to levamisole 7.5 mg/kg + oxyclozanide 15 mg/kg)
  Single oral dose

Sheep & Goats

• 1 ml per 5 kg body weight
  Single oral dose

📌 Shake well before use.
📌 Administer using a calibrated drenching gun.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to levamisole or oxyclozanide

• Do not use in severely debilitated animals

• Avoid use in late pregnancy unless advised by a veterinarian

Side Effects

• Transient salivation

• Mild muscle tremors (levamisole-related)

• Temporary diarrhea (rare)

Withdrawal Period

(Indicative – subject to local regulations)

• Meat:
  Cattle: 14–21 days
  Sheep & goats: 10–14 days

• Milk:
  3–5 days

Special Warnings

• Avoid overdosing, especially in sheep

• Do not use concurrently with other cholinergic drugs

• Follow strategic parasite control programs
