Composition

Each ml contains:

  • Ivermectin ............... 31.5 mg

  • Suitable sterile oily vehicle q.s.


Description

IverNor 3.15% Injection is a long-acting antiparasitic injectable solution containing ivermectin at a concentration of 3.15% w/v. It is indicated for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites in livestock under veterinary supervision.


Pharmacological Class

Endectocide – Macrocyclic lactone antiparasitic agent.


Indications

IverNor 3.15% Injection is indicated for the treatment and control of:

  • Gastrointestinal roundworms

  • Lungworms

  • Grubs and warbles

  • Mange mites

  • Lice

  • Other ivermectin-sensitive internal and external parasites

(Use according to veterinary guidance and local parasite control programs.)


Mechanism of Action

Ivermectin binds selectively to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, leading to increased permeability to chloride ions, paralysis, and death of the parasite. It has a wide margin of safety in mammals when used as directed.


Dosage and Administration

  • The recommended dose and treatment schedule must be determined only by a licensed veterinarian, based on animal species, body weight, and parasite burden.

  • Administer by subcutaneous (SC) injection in front of or behind the shoulder.

  • Use sterile equipment and proper injection techniques.


Contraindications

  • Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to ivermectin.

  • Not for intravenous or intramuscular administration unless specifically indicated.

  • Do not use in species for which ivermectin is contraindicated.


Warnings and Precautions

  • Observe recommended withdrawal periods for meat and milk where applicable.

  • Do not overdose.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

  • Dispose of unused product according to local regulations.


Adverse Reactions

Possible adverse reactions may include:

  • Mild swelling at injection site

  • Transient discomfort

  • Rare hypersensitivity reactions

If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.

  • Store below 25°C

  • Protect from light

  • Do not freeze

  • Keep container tightly closed
