Ivermectin 3.15% Injection


Composition

Each ml contains:

  • Ivermectin ........................................ 31.5 mg

  • Excipients ........................................ q.s. to 1 ml

Sterile injectable solution.


Therapeutic Class

Long-acting endectocide – Antiparasitic (Avermectin group).


Indications

IVER-NOR 3.15 is a long-acting injectable formulation indicated for the treatment and extended control of internal and external parasites sensitive to ivermectin, including:

Gastrointestinal nematodes:

  • Ostertagia spp.

  • Haemonchus spp.

  • Trichostrongylus spp.

  • Cooperia spp.

Lungworms:

  • Dictyocaulus viviparus

Ectoparasites:

  • Lice

  • Mange mites

  • Grubs

Provides prolonged protection compared to standard ivermectin 1%.


Target Species

  • Cattle only


Mechanism of Action

Ivermectin binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasites, increasing chloride ion permeability, resulting in paralysis and death, with sustained plasma levels ensuring long-term efficacy.


Dosage & Administration

Cattle:

  • 0.63 mg ivermectin/kg body weight

  • (Equivalent to 1 ml per 50 kg body weight)

Route of Administration:

  • Subcutaneous injection (SC) only

Single injection provides extended parasite control.


Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to ivermectin

  • Not for use in lactating dairy cattle producing milk for human consumption

  • Not for intravenous or intramuscular use

  • Do not use in other animal species


Side Effects

  • Mild, transient swelling at injection site

  • Rare hypersensitivity reactions


Withdrawal Period (indicative – subject to local regulations)

  • Meat: 122 days

  • Milk: Not permitted


Storage Conditions

  • Store below 25°C

  • Protect from light

  • Do not freeze
