Composition
Each ml contains:
Imidocarb dipropionate ........................................ 121.15 mg
(equivalent to Imidocarb base 120 mg)
Excipients ................................................................. q.s. to 1 ml
Pharmaceutical Form
Sterile injectable solution for veterinary use.
Indications
ImidoCure® 12% Injection is indicated for the treatment and control of protozoal blood infections in livestock, including:
Babesiosis (Babesia spp.)
Anaplasmosis (Anaplasma marginale)
Theileriosis (Theileria spp.)
Mixed blood parasitic infections transmitted by ticks
Target Species
Cattle
Sheep
Goats
Camels (according to veterinary judgment and local regulations)
Dosage and Administration
For deep intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
Cattle:
1 ml per 100 kg body weight
(Equivalent to 1.2 mg imidocarb/kg BW)Sheep & Goats:
1 ml per 50 kg body weightCamels:
Dose to be determined by the attending veterinarian.
📌 A second dose may be required after 24–72 hours in severe cases.
Contraindications
Do not use in animals hypersensitive to imidocarb.
Do not use in animals suffering from severe liver or kidney impairment.
Not recommended in dehydrated or stressed animals without veterinary supervision.
Side Effects
Possible transient side effects may include:
Salivation
Muscle tremors
Mild diarrhea
Injection site pain
⚠️ Atropine may be used to reduce cholinergic side effects if required.
Withdrawal Period
Meat:
Cattle: 28 days
Sheep & Goats: 21 daysMilk:
Not approved for use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
Special Warnings
Strictly adhere to recommended dosage.
Avoid repeated unnecessary use to reduce resistance risk.
Observe proper tick control programs alongside treatment.
