  • Gentamicin (as sulfate) ……………………………………… 40 mg

  • Excipients …………………………………………………………… q.s. to 1 ml

Description

Amoxicillin 15% & Gentamicin 4% Injection is a broad-spectrum injectable antibiotic combination intended for the treatment of systemic bacterial infections in livestock.
The formulation combines the cell wall–inhibiting action of amoxicillin with the potent bactericidal activity of gentamicin, providing effective coverage against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens.

Mode of Action

  • Amoxicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, leading to bacterial cell lysis.

  • Gentamicin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, resulting in rapid bacterial death.

The combination produces a synergistic antibacterial effect, especially in severe and mixed infections.
