Therapeutic Class

Fluoroquinolone antibacterial.

Indications

ENRONOR® 10 Oral Liquid is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by enrofloxacin-sensitive microorganisms, including:

• Respiratory tract infections

• Chronic respiratory disease (CRD)

• Colibacillosis (E. coli)

• Salmonellosis

• Pasteurellosis

• Enteritis

• Septicemia

• Secondary bacterial infections

Target Species

• Poultry (broilers, breeders)

• Calves

• Lambs

• Kids

⚠️ Not approved for use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption unless permitted by local regulations.

Mechanism of Action

Enrofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, leading to rapid bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Dosage & Administration

For oral administration via drinking water or direct oral dosing.

Poultry

• 10 mg enrofloxacin/kg body weight/day
  (Equivalent to 100 mg per liter of drinking water)
  for 3–5 consecutive days

Calves, Sheep & Goats

• 1 ml per 10 kg body weight
  Once daily for 3–5 consecutive days

📌 Ensure medicated water is the only source of drinking water during treatment.
📌 Shake well before use.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones

• Do not use in animals with known cartilage disorders

• Avoid unnecessary or prolonged use

Side Effects

• Generally well tolerated

• Rare gastrointestinal disturbances

• Injection site reactions are not applicable (oral use)

Withdrawal Period

(Indicative – subject to local regulations)

• Meat:
  Poultry & ruminants: 7–10 days

• Eggs:
  Not approved for use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption

Special Warnings

• Use only when bacterial sensitivity is expected

• Avoid concurrent use with other fluoroquinolones

• Observe antimicrobial stewardship principles

• Protect from direct sunlight

• Do not freeze

• Keep out of reach of children

• 24 months from date of manufacture

• Use within 28 days after first opening
