Enrofloxacin 10% Injection


Composition

Each ml contains:

  • Enrofloxacin ........................................ 100 mg

  • Excipients ........................................ q.s. to 1 ml


Pharmaceutical Form

Sterile injectable solution.


Therapeutic Class

Fluoroquinolone antibiotic.


Indications

ENRONOR 10 is a broad-spectrum antibacterial injection indicated for the treatment of infections caused by Gram-negative, Gram-positive bacteria and Mycoplasma, susceptible to Enrofloxacin, including:

  • Respiratory tract infections

  • Gastrointestinal infections

  • Urinary tract infections

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Septicemia


Target Species

  • Cattle

  • Sheep

  • Goats

  • Camels

  • Poultry (where permitted by local regulations)


Mechanism of Action

Enrofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial DNA replication and resulting in rapid bactericidal activity.


Dosage & Administration

Cattle, Sheep, Goats & Camels:

  • 2.5 – 5 mg Enrofloxacin/kg body weight

  • (Equivalent to 1 ml per 20–40 kg body weight)

Route of Administration:

  • Intramuscular (IM)

  • Subcutaneous (SC) (for cattle only)

Treatment duration: 3–5 days, or as directed by the veterinarian.


Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones

  • Not recommended in growing animals where cartilage development may be affected

  • Do not use in animals producing milk for human consumption


Side Effects

  • Transient pain or swelling at injection site

  • Rare hypersensitivity reactions

Discontinue treatment if severe adverse reactions occur.


Withdrawal Period (indicative – subject to local regulations)

  • Meat:

    • Cattle: 14 days

    • Sheep & Goats: 10 days

  • Milk:

    • Not permitted for use in lactating animals


Storage Conditions

  • Store below 25°C

  • Protect from light

  • Do not freeze
