Indications
DOXYNOR® 10 Oral Liquid is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by doxycycline-sensitive microorganisms, including:
Respiratory tract infections
Chronic respiratory disease (CRD)
Mycoplasma infections
Colibacillosis
Salmonellosis
Pasteurellosis
Enteritis
Secondary bacterial infections
Target Species
Poultry (broilers, layers, breeders)
Calves
Lambs
Kids
Mechanism of Action
Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, resulting in a bacteriostatic effect against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as Mycoplasma species.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration via drinking water or direct oral dosing.
Poultry
10–20 mg doxycycline/kg body weight/day
(Equivalent to 100–200 mg per liter of drinking water)
for 3–5 consecutive days
Calves, Sheep & Goats
10 mg doxycycline/kg body weight
Once daily for 3–5 consecutive days
📌 Ensure medicated water is the only source of drinking water during treatment.
📌 Shake well before use.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines
Do not use in animals with severe hepatic impairment
Avoid use in animals with known tetracycline allergy
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated
Rare gastrointestinal disturbances
Long-term use may affect normal intestinal flora
Withdrawal Period
