COMPOSITION
Each ml contains:
Dexamethasone (as sodium phosphate) ................. 2 mg
Excipients ................................................................. q.s. to 1 ml
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASS
Synthetic corticosteroid (glucocorticoid).
INDICATIONS
DEXANOR® Injection is indicated in cattle, sheep, goats, horses, dogs, and cats for:
Treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions
Anti-shock therapy
Management of anaphylactic reactions
Reduction of edema and swelling
Ketosis in cattle
Adjunct therapy in traumatic injuries
Treatment of inflammatory respiratory conditions
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Dexamethasone is a potent glucocorticoid that exerts strong anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and immunosuppressive effects by inhibiting inflammatory mediators and reducing capillary permeability.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Route: Intramuscular (IM) or Intravenous (IV)
Cattle & Horses:
1 – 5 ml per animalSheep & Goats:
0.5 – 1 ml per animalDogs & Cats:
0.1 – 0.3 ml per 5 kg body weight
Dosage and duration depend on the condition and veterinary judgment.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in animals suffering from viral or fungal infections unless accompanied by appropriate therapy.
Do not use in late pregnancy except under veterinary supervision.
Do not use in animals with gastrointestinal ulcers or diabetes mellitus.
WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS
Prolonged or repeated use may cause immunosuppression.
Avoid abrupt withdrawal after long-term use.
Use with caution in pregnant animals.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Transient increase in thirst and urination
Delayed wound healing
Immunosuppression with prolonged use
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 8 days
Milk: 72 hours
