Intramammary Suspension – Sustained Release (SR)

Composition

Each 5 g intramammary syringe contains:

  • Cloxacillin (as cloxacillin sodium) ………………… 200 mg

  • Ampicillin (as ampicillin sodium) ………………… 75 mg
    (Sustained Release)

Indications

CLOXAMP-NOR LC is indicated for the treatment of clinical and subclinical mastitis during lactation in dairy cows caused by susceptible organisms, including:

  • Staphylococcus aureus

  • Coagulase-negative staphylococci

  • Streptococcus agalactiae

  • Streptococcus dysgalactiae

  • Streptococcus uberis


Dosage & Administration

  • One intramammary syringe per affected quarter

  • Administer after milking

  • Repeat every 12 hours for 2–3 treatments or as advised by the veterinarian

Method of Use

  1. Milk out the affected quarter completely

  2. Clean and disinfect the teat end thoroughly

  3. Infuse the full contents of one syringe

  4. Massage the teat gently upward after infusion


Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to penicillins or β-lactam antibiotics

  • Do not use in dry cows


Warnings & Precautions

  • For veterinary use only

  • Strict teat hygiene is essential

  • Observe withdrawal periods carefully

  • Use according to antimicrobial stewardship guidelines


Withdrawal Period

  • Milk: 3–5 days (subject to local regulations)

  • Meat: 10–14 days (subject to local regulations)


Storage

  • Store below 25°C

  • Protect from light

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • 24 months from date of manufacture
