Composition

Each 4.5 g intramammary syringe contains:
Cloxacillin (as cloxacillin benzathine) ………………… 500 mg
(Sustained Release)

β-lactam antibiotic – Penicillinase-resistant penicillin


Indications

CLOX-NOR Dry Cow is indicated for use at drying-off in dairy cows for:

  • Treatment of existing subclinical mastitis caused by cloxacillin-sensitive organisms

  • Prevention of new intramammary infections during the dry period

Effective against:

  • Staphylococcus aureus

  • Coagulase-negative staphylococci

  • Other Gram-positive mastitis pathogens


Dosage & Administration

  • One intramammary syringe (4.5 g) per quarter

  • Administer once at drying-off only

Method of Use

  1. Milk out the udder completely

  2. Clean and disinfect teat ends thoroughly

  3. Infuse the contents of one syringe into each teat

  4. Do not massage the udder after infusion


Contraindications

  • Do not use in lactating cows

  • Hypersensitivity to penicillins or β-lactam antibiotics


Warnings & Precautions

  • For veterinary use only

  • Strict hygiene must be observed during administration

  • Use only at drying-off

  • Observe withdrawal periods carefully


Withdrawal Period

  • Milk: Not to be used until after calving + specified withdrawal period (according to local regulations)

  • Meat: 28–35 days (subject to local regulations)


Storage

  • Store below 25°C

  • Protect from light

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • 24 months from date of manufacture
