ChymoNor Injection


Description

ChymoNor Injection is a veterinary injectable formulation combining proteolytic enzymes and supportive agents to enhance tissue healing, reduce inflammation and edema, and improve drug diffusion at the site of injury. It is indicated as an adjunct therapy in inflammatory, traumatic, and post-operative conditions under veterinary supervision.


Composition

Each ml contains:

  • α‑Chymotrypsin ............... 4 mg

  • Trypsin ............................. 1 mg

  • Hyaluronic acid ............... 1 mg

  • Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) ... 10 mg

  • Suitable injectable excipients q.s.


Pharmacological Class

Proteolytic enzymes with anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, and tissue-penetrating activity.


Indications

ChymoNor Injection is indicated for:

  • Reduction of inflammation and edema

  • Traumatic injuries and soft tissue swelling

  • Post-operative recovery

  • Hematoma and seroma management

  • Musculoskeletal disorders

  • Enhancement of tissue permeability and drug diffusion


Mechanism of Action

α‑Chymotrypsin and trypsin are proteolytic enzymes that help break down inflammatory exudates, fibrin, and necrotic tissue, thereby reducing edema and promoting healing. Hyaluronic acid supports tissue hydration and repair, while DMSO enhances tissue penetration and exerts anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.


Dosage and Administration

  • Dosage and treatment duration must be determined only by a licensed veterinarian, based on animal species, body weight, and clinical condition.

  • Administer by intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SC), or local injection as directed by the veterinarian.


Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the components

  • Animals with bleeding disorders or receiving anticoagulant therapy

  • Severe renal or hepatic impairment

  • Use with caution during pregnancy


Warnings and Precautions

  • Use strictly under veterinary supervision

  • Do not mix with other injectable products unless advised by a veterinarian

  • Observe withdrawal periods for food-producing animals, where applicable

  • Discontinue use if signs of hypersensitivity occur


Adverse Reactions

Possible adverse reactions may include:

  • Local irritation at the injection site

  • Allergic reactions

  • Transient discomfort or swelling

If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
