Description

CeftioNor 5 Injection is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic injectable suspension indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in livestock caused by microorganisms susceptible to ceftiofur.
Ceftiofur is characterized by its broad-spectrum bactericidal activity and high efficacy against respiratory and systemic infections.

Mode of Action

Ceftiofur inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), resulting in bacterial cell lysis and death.
It is highly stable against many β-lactamases, ensuring reliable activity against resistant bacterial strains.
