Indications
CEFQNOR 2.5 is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to Cefquinome, including:
Respiratory tract infections
Mastitis
Septicemia
Skin and soft tissue infections
Metritis and uterine infections

Goats
Camels
Mechanism of Action
Cefquinome inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), resulting in rapid bactericidal activity.
As a 4th generation cephalosporin, it shows high stability against β-lactamases.
Dosage & Administration
Cattle, Sheep, Goats & Camels:
1 mg Cefquinome/kg body weight
(Equivalent to 1 ml per 25 kg body weight)
Route of Administration:
Intramuscular (IM)
Subcutaneous (SC) (where appropriate)
Treatment duration: 3–5 days, or as directed by the veterinarian.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or β-lactam antibiotics
Do not use in animals with known severe allergic reactions to penicillins
Side Effects
Mild local reactions at injection site
Rare hypersensitivity reactions
Withdrawal Period (indicative – subject to local regulations)
