Composition

Each ml contains:
Calcium gluconate (for injection) ............ 333 mg
Magnesium hypophosphite hexahydrate .... 50 mg
Boric acid ...................................................... 68.4 mg
Excipients ..................................................... q.s. to 1 ml

Indications

CALCINOR® Mg Infusion is indicated for the treatment and prevention of metabolic disorders associated with calcium and magnesium deficiencies, including:

  • Milk fever (parturient paresis)

  • Hypocalcemia

  • Hypomagnesemia

  • Downer cow syndrome

  • Tetany

  • Metabolic stress around parturition

  • Supportive therapy during transport stress and recovery


Target Species

  • Cattle

  • Sheep

  • Goats

  • Camels


Mechanism of Action

  • Calcium gluconate restores normal neuromuscular and cardiac function.

  • Magnesium supports nerve impulse transmission and muscle contraction.

  • Boric acid improves calcium bioavailability and enhances solution stability.

The combination provides rapid correction of mineral imbalances.


Dosage & Administration

For slow intravenous infusion only.
(Warm solution to body temperature before administration.)

Cattle & Camels

  • 500 ml per animal
    Administer slowly IV under veterinary supervision

Sheep & Goats

  • 100–200 ml per animal
    Slow IV infusion

📌 Monitor heart rate during administration.
📌 Do not administer rapidly.


Contraindications

  • Hypercalcemia

  • Severe cardiac disorders

  • Do not administer subcutaneously or intramuscularly


Side Effects

  • Rapid administration may cause:

    • Cardiac arrhythmia

    • Sweating

    • Restlessness

⚠️ Always administer slowly.


Withdrawal Period

  • Meat: 0 days

  • Milk: 0 days


Special Warnings

  • Use under veterinary supervision only

  • Avoid overdose

  • Ensure sterile administration equipment
