Indications
AMPRONOR® 40 Oral Liquid is indicated for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria species, including:
Poultry coccidiosis
Coccidiosis in calves
Coccidiosis in lambs and kids
Intestinal coccidial infections

Mechanism of Action
Amprolium acts as a thiamine (vitamin B1) antagonist, inhibiting carbohydrate metabolism in coccidia, leading to disruption of parasite growth and replication.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration via drinking water.
Poultry
Treatment:
125–250 mg amprolium per liter of drinking water
for 5–7 consecutive daysPrevention:
60–125 mg per liter of drinking water
Calves, Sheep & Goats
10 mg amprolium/kg body weight
Once daily for 5 consecutive days
📌 Ensure treated water is the only source of drinking water.
📌 Shake well before use.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to amprolium
Do not administer concurrently with other anticoccidial drugs unless advised
Avoid prolonged overdosing
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated
Prolonged excessive use may cause thiamine deficiency
