Amoxicillin 15% Injectable Suspension


Composition

Each ml contains:

  • Amoxicillin
    (as trihydrate) .......................... 150 mg

  • Excipients ........................................ q.s. to 1 ml


Description

AmoNor 15 Injection is a broad-spectrum injectable antibiotic containing amoxicillin, a semi-synthetic penicillin with strong bactericidal activity.
It is indicated for the treatment of systemic bacterial infections in livestock caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to amoxicillin.


Mode of Action

Amoxicillin acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis through binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to cell lysis and bacterial death.
It is rapidly absorbed after injection and widely distributed in body tissues.

  • Respiratory tract infections

  • Pneumonia and bronchopneumonia

  • Enteritis and gastrointestinal infections

  • Colibacillosis (E. coli)

  • Salmonellosis

  • Pasteurellosis

  • Septicemia

  • Metritis

  • Mastitis

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Secondary bacterial infections

Dosage & Administration

  • Route: Intramuscular (IM) or Subcutaneous (SC)

  • Dosage:
    As recommended by a veterinarian according to species, body weight, and severity of infection

Withdrawal Period

  • Meat: As per local veterinary regulations

  • Milk: As advised by veterinarian


Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C

  • Protect from light and freezing

  • Shake well before use

  • Keep vial tightly closed


Precautions

  • For veterinary use only

  • Do not use in animals hypersensitive to penicillins

  • Do not exceed recommended dosage

  • Observe withdrawal periods strictly

  • Use under veterinary supervision
