Therapeutic Class
Broad-spectrum anthelmintic (Benzimidazole group).
Indications
ALBENOR® 10 Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment and control of internal parasitic infections caused by albendazole-sensitive parasites, including:
Gastrointestinal nematodes
Lungworms
Tapeworms (Cestodes)
Adult liver flukes (Fasciola spp.)
Effective against mixed helminth infections.
Target Species
Cattle
Sheep
Goats
Camels
Mechanism of Action
Albendazole interferes with parasite energy metabolism by inhibiting microtubule formation, leading to paralysis and death of susceptible parasites.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration only.
Gastrointestinal roundworms & lungworms:
7.5 mg albendazole/kg body weight
(Equivalent to 1 ml per 13 kg body weight)Tapeworms:
10 mg/kg body weight
(Equivalent to 1 ml per 10 kg body weight)Adult liver flukes:
10 mg/kg body weight
📌 Shake well before use.
📌 Administer using a suitable drenching gun.
Contraindications
Do not use in animals hypersensitive to albendazole
Do not use during the first trimester of pregnancy
Avoid use in severely debilitated animals
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated
Rare transient gastrointestinal disturbances
